Animation for concept studio made for my betta fish, Giacometti. It's designed specifically for him to interact with. Let's hope it works.

Coloration would make it even more convincing :D I think it works on my boy. I've just never seen him flare his gills before though...maybe it's just his type, I don't know. Thanks for this! It's wonderfully realistic :)

I have a blue beta fish named Dobey. He is afraid of my pencil eraser, so he puts up his frills. It is cute!

So cute how it flares. I should show my betta and see how he reacts.

Thanks. ^^ The flare was my favorite part to do.

Unless it has color, I'm not sure he would be able to figure out the subject from the background? Cool idea though. I love bettas <3

He recognized the movement I think and was interested in it for a little while, but then just got used to it. XD Thanks!

My beta fish would have tried to kill it on sight. We used to have two of them and we could never put their separate bowls next to each other, otherwise they'd just get in a frenzy :P

This is very nicely done though. I recognize the way the fish moves, which shows its character. Cool stuff.
